Not sure how long was the walk... but we did more then half... so ard 4.5km? maybe more... though straight line distance is i think 2.6km or something...

anyway, maybe one day we can complete it? we only missed out the hortpark and canopy walk... XD...

HEY GUYS!!!

Meant to post this on friday...

Anyway, so, M09404 is officially gone... no more... bye bye...
So, i hope all of you have found our time together (for 2 yrs) fun, joyful, enriching, and entertaining, to say the least. At least i did!

Although we have physically parted (not entirely true, coz not sure who in which class next yr), but know this, We have been together for 2 whole years, and we have all made an impact on each other's lives, and this impact, wether big or small, is going to stay with us forever.

We will be dipersed next year, but do remeber this, no matter where we are, what we become, and the other 3 "W"s and one "H", the 404 sprit will always live on, in our hearts.

Now i know i am being very sentimental, thats coz i AM a sentimental person, but plz pardon me... I really mean it when i say thank you 404, for being a great class for the past 2 years. i really really really love 404! <3

Hey guys!

I ~~know~~ hope you guys are busy studing for exams now, but if we are to have a class chalet at the end of the year, we need to start preparing now!

We only have around 1 month in our class, and so this chalet might be our final class outing (not including watever random stuff we might come up with next year) together as a class. So i really really really hope ALL of us can be present for this final outing.

It probably will be overnight too, though the overnight thing is not compulosory.

First off, we need a date suitable for everyone. especially for the foreign students, when will you be leaving Singapore?

the rest of you also, any1 going overseas?

And also, choice of chalet? i know aloha loyang at pasir ris is quite ok (coz i had class chalet there b4)... something on sentosa would be wayyyyy beyond our budget... any other suggestions? pula ubin!?!? dunno... being random, but seriously, suggestions plz :)

The double-sided Zig ones that I lend to people on a regular basis and i keep in a clear pencil case. The whole case went missing this week and someone placed the yellow marker on my desk this morning.

Haha...had fun today..thanks everyone who came for co today...for those who didnt go...its NOT ok, especially the girls cuz thanks to u, i was stuck in a room with 9 guys who cant sing for like 1 hour.

Summary:
We ate at mos burger and sabway in clementi, except famy who ate tako yaki, a chicken wing and some of russellfoo+jh veges and jh's coke and potato wedge to save money for Kbox. Everyone liked those dunno wat jap fans from mos burger. :)
We reached suntec kbox at 2.10pm after a long mrt ride. ms wu joined us at ard 3.15pm.
Lj kept singing algae era's songs off tune....and hokkien/taiwanese songs which no one understands
Daryl and Rion's version of she bangs was LOL and the phantom of opera hahhaha
Ms wu can sing pretty well, can consider career in singing after we graduate/drop bio
Juehang cannot sing but still better than liang jun

Alright for those who are just joining us and are wondering what's going on in the tagboard, read this. But for the most part of you, it should be TL;DR for this post. What's happening right now is that LiangJun has proposed that we sing a song for Ms Wu the day after teachers day. The song is called It's My Life which is a famous song by Bon Jovi. What's going to happen is that LiangJun, Ram, Sabrina, LuJun and Trang are going to bring instruments and sing this song. Now if you haven't already heard the song, it has been posted below by our kind co-mentor rep in a youtube video instead of being put as a name link in the tagboard. We as the rest of the class has been requested by LiangJun to stand behind and humm along. Now the problem is that LiangJun never consulted the whole class on this, so we have an increasing number of people(5) who are against the idea appearing on the tagboard to state their opinion (with more who have not showed up on the tagboard). Of course, LiangJun happens to be a stubborn bastard so he isn't listening to the class but wants to carry on with his idea. JiaQing and me both agree that it's way too rush, and the lyrics, which have also been posted below, have 0 meaning on teachers day. Daryl has mentioned how all the logistics don't even work out properly. In case you are wondering, it isn't just a simple song that we could just plong in guitars and sing a long. It's a rock song. You will also soon realise that their lead singer is a choir trained girl named Trang. That aside, Rion has condensed all his complaints into a short and sweet "LiangJun, Screw You", and Russell has compressed all his deepest feelings about this issue into "-_-". At first it was just me, and if that was the case then yes maybe you should just go ahead. However as Reuben has mentioned "If too many people protest, LiangJun you better think of something else fast." Well of course that shouldn't be very difficult because all we have to get her is a gift. There have been a few suggestions. Some mentioned on the tagboard and some not. I suggest jewelry. Of course if we aren't willing to spend the money, JiaQing thinks that a retarded gift is what will be remembered best. He has cited the incident where the year 7s gave (the other) Theo a door from the old campus as his 17th birthday present. These are just suggestions. On the other hand, LiangJun has said "It's not about sounding nice, Ms Wu wouldn't mind if we broke down halfway, but she will remember it.". JiaQing has done an awesome job of turning that 180 degrees around. Paraprasing his words you get "It doesn't have to be a nice gift, you could just give her something retarded (like a door) and she will remember it for a long time". In fact yes I agree it's not about the song sounding nice or not. Right now the issue is whether it will sound close enough to the song at all for it to be recognized. You really have to realise that it's a rock song with awesome electric guitars and you aren't going to be able to replicate it without an electric guitar and an amp. LiangJun, I really hope you reconsider. If you still think it's an awesome idea to go ahead don't drag the rest of us into it. Let us get her a gift, and if you wanna add pepper and salt you can perform your rock song without a bunch of people behind pretending to be humming (or worse not even pretending).

I'm actually suspecting that either someone saw me strolling out the school gate at 9am and informed the school or Mr Chua directly because they couldn't stop me nor identify me, or someone called the school after seeing me strolling to the bus stop. We came to school to celebrate Nat DAY!!! yay!!!

anyway, we had the potluck (wow teh school loves potluck) and we toasted to the class. Its great tat we are now so united and proud to be 404. then we had the class outing. took bus across the raod to dunn where that is...

well we had a lot of fun bowling, and had a internal competition thingy, (sab has some pictures) I cant remember the grpings anymore... lol...

Then we went to KFC for lunch... really nothin more indept can be said, i mean its just bowling, nothing much more to say...

Its quite nice that the class is finally strting to be more united, i thinik this time had the most number of ppl!!!

YO...the class wastepaper basket was like overfilled today. :( Obviously, the person on duty on Friday didn't clear it. :( Anyway, the point is when the bin is overfilled, if you can't clear it, at least don't dump more things into it, ok? :) And apparently, someone ate chewing gum and (very cleverly) spit it into the bin. :( Firstly, it's a WASTEPAPER BASKET. :0 Nevermind that it is banned in Singapore, but at least have more common sense and wrap it in paper before throwing right? :) We ran out of thrash bags already so the gum is still stuck there. :0 YAY. :) Oh, and according to my very reliable sources, the chewing gum was most likely purchased in China, and Qiusi and Lu Jun and Jue Hang say its not theirs. :) Tai Yu also say not his but I don't believe him..duh. :((

Wateva, in short, STOP throwing food items into the wastepaper basket. :)) Just walk a bit more, open the door, and walk a little more and throw it into the main dustbin outside. :)

I Fired My Secretary Today

Last week was my birthday and I didn’t feel very well waking up that morning. I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, “happy birthday!”, and possibly have a present for me.

As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone “happy birthday.”

I thought… Well, that’s marriage for you, but the kids will remember. My kids came into breakfast and didn’t say a word.

So when I left for the office, I was feeling pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office, my secretary, Jane said, “good morning, boss, happy birthday!” it felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o’clock and then Jane knocked on my door and said, “you know, it’s such a beautiful day outside, and it’s your birthday, let’s go out to lunch, just you and me.”

I said, “thanks Jane, that’s the greatest thing I’ve heard all day. Let’s go!”

We went to lunch. But we didn’t go where we normally would go. We dined instead at a little place with a private table. We had two martinis each and i enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Jane said, “you know, it’s such a beautiful day… We don’t need to go back to the office, do we?”

I responded, “I guess not. What do you have in mind?”

She said, “let’s go to my apartment.”

After arriving at her apartment Jane turned to me and said, “boss, if you don’t mind, I’m going to step into the bedroom for a moment. I’ll be right back.”

“OK.” I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake… Followed by my wife, kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing “happy birthday”.

And I just sat there…

As such, from today onwards, the class WASTEPAPER BASKET will no longer accept items such as: wintermelon tea packet, snickers wrapper, empty drink bottles, chipster wrapper etc. and maybe thermometers.

Hey guys...

We all know what happened today during mentoring. Now, Ms Wu has every right to get pissed at us. I mean seriously, she is doing a lesson on respect and there you guys are, showing disrespect right in front of her.

We are all year 4 already, and some more in such a good school, not some kind of lousy neighbourhood school. If even they can know the meaning of respect, who are we to give excuses?

No point being so smart and pro if even the smallest things in life, such as paying attention, cannot be achieved!

I'm not going to go into a speech on how we should have respect, what are the good things about respect, bla bla bla... I'm sure all of you know VERY WELL what it is. There's no point in me blabbing on if none of you are willing to listen, and none of you are willing to internalise it. Such a thing as proper respect can only be achieved when you really internalise the true meaning of respect, only then can you show proper respect.

The teachers are our seniors, regardless of how nice they are. Ms Wu, Mr Ku, Mr Yee. These are the teachers who let us treat them as equals. But this does not mean we can disregard them. They are still above us, and we must still look up to them. This applies to ALL teachers, and, although not SO compulsory, to everyone in general, even when they are our juniors.

And since we are on the topic of respect, as your mentor rep, I take great pains to ensure that the class is always as good as it can be. I try my best to lead the class on. If my ways are a bit weird or not so nice, go ahead tell me, and I'll improve on myself. I am learning constantly, from every bit of criticism and advice i receive.

As a fellow classmate, i dun mind if you guys screw around with me, disturb me, try to piss me off etc. But as your class rep, i feel that i deserve a little respect, when i am trying to guide the class on, or when i am making announcements or something, at least try to pay attention. You know who you are. you dun like me, I'm fine with it, you think you can do a better job? Go ahead, take my place, otherwise, please please please, at least keep your mouth shut and keep your non-constructive opinions to yourself.

That is pretty much all i have to say. 404, i would sincerely be glad if all of you can just take maybe 5 mins to reflect on what I've said. Can we ALL make a conscious effort to be more respectful to ALL our teachers in future?

And also, i think we all owe Ms Wu an apology... * HINT HINT*

Yo! Updated the homework list. Thank me. Or thank god also can. lol..so 'Reuben'. Chinese a lot of hw leh...that's why cannot fit on the class calendar, must write on class blog.

Anyway...please please please keep to the class duty roster. I know a lot of classes don't but WE should still try to keep OUR classroom clean. Yup, keep the classroom clean, clear the dustbin, throw your food wrappers or bottles etc into dustbin outside classroom, sweep the floor, listen to me when I ask you to throw the trash (guo taiyu if u don't listen to me I make sure u listen to sab)....and I will be eternally grateful to you. XDXD

And and, our class fund currently stands at...... $0.00. we had around $50 at the start of this year, half spent on present, the other half on Liang Jun's BBQ party. I know I damn cheapskate la, but continue contributing so I can be paid for the airfreshener. LOL

Hey guys... Long time no blog, eh?

Anyway i think i should say this...

The dirt yesterday was HORRIBLE. i had to literally clean every single tile with water and tissue (coz the janitors dun have a mop)

Some people claim that the school is your second home, then if that is true, the classroom should be your second room.

Personally, i think thats quite true. I mean seriously, i reach class at like 6.35-6.40 and leave at like around at least 3+ most of the time. That means i spend like over 8 hours everyday in E1-13.

Now, my room is damn messy, if i say so myself. But at least its clean.

I dont expect you guys to constantly be cleaning the class or anything, but AT LEAST, even if you do not agree with me, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN DIRT. If you are not going to help keep the class clean, at least do not make it dirtier.

Couple of ~~rules~~ guidelines to take note of:

1. most simple, yet often the hardest to be kept--- Do not litter
2. If you eat in class ( which you should not be doing in the first place) at least throw your rubbish in the dustbin outside the class. especially drinks or stuff (its right outside)
3. Do not enter the class with dirty soles.
4. If you DO enter without realising, stop walking around and dirtying the rest of the class. get out, clean your shoes, or take them off (not really adviceable).
5. If you see rubish on the floor, pick it up and throw it into the dustbin.
6. If the dustbin is overflowing, empty it.

These are all general stuff you should know. Take initiative, and help the class out. I dun mind cleaning the class, but that does not mean you can leave every mess for me to clean. Its hard to keep the class clean, and even with help from some more responsible people. It takes the effort of EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.

keep the class clean, improve our learning habitat, and we will naturally improve our learning qualitiy.

anyway, ystd was our class BBQ at ECP. 4 persons canceled on the day but since we already gotten food for you guys, you need to pay too... sad. (except maybe the dude who got sick. cant really blame you for it)

But anyway for those who came, you gotta admit it was some what quite fun. *ahem*

and it was a day of firsts!

Zzz cant think of a first for me XD

Kinda sad that y'all didnt want the cycling scavenger hunt thingy. WJ Kausik and me spent 2 hours finding the places. DX

And it is sad that we spilt up halfway... Not THAT surprising though. Seriously, when Rion first suggested cycling to changi, I expected some people to follo him and others to stay.

SPUD was kinda fun...

(ah i know! Kausik, Ram, zawadul, reuben, WJ and me played SPUD for the first time)

but i guess the BBQ made all the hard work worthwhile.

I really gotta thank Kausik for his hard work is helping me make the BBQ possible.
And WJ too, for coming early with Kausik to help recon. (although it was pointless in the end)

And of course, all of you for coming and supporting 404.

Thats actually i lazy to constantly say class outing. Anyway, the outing will be on 9th June, at ECP. Exact location of ECP i will confirm by friday. The CO would be a whole day thing, but you guys can come and go at anytime you like. Though i think the BBQ would be the most popular time...
